VOLKSWAGEN: smiles

At a time when smiles a hard to come by — election season — we launched a brand campaign expressing the pure fun and positivity that have defined Volkswagen for decades.

To help with the launch we collaborated with a young and talented directing collective and traveled the world looking for real, genuine, interesting and most importantly, happy people. The people who embodied that same positivity Volkswagen has always championed and celebrated.

In the end, we got to know over 300 amazing individuals ranging in age from 3 months to 93 years-old. The result is a simple reminder that every moment we’re alive is a moment to enjoy life.
